Job Description

We’re looking for SQE tutors to deliver private, remote tuition in SQE1, SQE2, or both. This is a flexible and rewarding role for legally qualified professionals who understand the SQE and want to help candidates succeed.

Tuition Topics

As a remote SQE tutor, topics include:

SQE1 (FLK1 & 2):

Business Law and Practice, Dispute Resolution, Contract Law, Tort Law, The Legal System, Ethics, Solicitors Accounts, Land Law, Property Practice, Criminal Law and Practice, Wills and the Administration of Estates, Equity and Trusts, Business Tax

SQE2 (Skills):

Client Interviewing and Attendance Notes, Advocacy, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Legal Drafting, Case and Matter Analysis

Responsibilities

Deliver private, one-to-one tutoring sessions to SQE candidates.
Develop customised lesson plans based on individual student needs and learning objectives.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress.
Collaborate with the Brigitte’s FLK team to ensure a consistent, high-quality learning experience.

Qualifications and Skills

Passed SQE1 as a minimum, with a strong working knowledge of the relevant modules. Candidates who have passed SQE1 but are yet to sit SQE2 may be considered for SQE1 tuition roles. Full SQE qualification preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Proficient in using online collaboration tools and video conferencing software.
