SQE Assessment Dates - 2024 to 2025
At any point during the year, you may create an account as an SQE candidate.
Booking and sitting for SQE2 is permissible only after successfully completing SQE1, or if you’ve received an exemption from the SRA for the entirety of SQE1.
Should you choose to take your assessment outside the UK, it’s advisable to verify the timing when making your booking. Assessment start times will vary at international centres.
Listed below are the scheduled SQE assessment dates for 2024 to 2025. This includes the dates when results will be released, where confirmed, as well as the deadline for the law and practice material to be examined. All the times mentioned refer to the UK time on those specific dates.

You will receive your SQE exam results via email directly from Kaplan.

You can expect to receive your SQE2 exam results within 14-18 weeks following the exam date.
♦ Are additional SQE2 seats made available after SQE1 results are released?
Yes, a number of seats for SQE2 sittings will be made available after SQE1 results, subject to availability.
♦ How often can SQE2 resits be taken?
SQE2 resits occur at least 6 months apart.
♦ What determines the first day of the assessment window?
The first day is the date of the first assessment for that window.
♦ How long does the SQE2 assessment window usually last?
Currently, it spans 2 or 3 weeks, expected to be at least 3 weeks in 2024, possibly extending to 4 or 5 weeks as candidate volumes increase.
