All fees are exempt from Value Added Tax (VAT).

Paying for the SQE1 Exam

You are required to make separate bookings for FLK1 and FLK2, but the payment for both assessments should be made in a single transaction when booking. FLK1 and FLK2 must be scheduled within the same assessment period, unless specific SQE exemption applies.

All fees are exempt from VAT.

Paying for the SQE2 Exam

Both the written and oral assessments must be booked together, and payment should be made at the time of booking.

The amount you need to pay will vary based on whether you are exempt from fees and the reason for your exemption.

SQE Cancellation fees

If you choose to cancel your exam after making the payment, there is a possibility of incurring a cancellation fee, which will depend on when you formally instruct the Solicitors Regulation Authority (“SRA”) to cancel your reservation.

You are required to notify the SRA in writing about your intention to cancel your current booking.

The cancellation fees are determined by when you officially instruct the SRA to cancel the reservation.

Further note that the SRA insist on cancellation requests being submitted to them in writing via email, and they recommend using the Model Cancellation Form, which can be found in Schedule 1 of the SQE Assessment Terms and Conditions for your convenience.

For additional information, please review Part D – Fees and Cancellation within the SQE Assessment Terms and Conditions.

SQE Resit Fees

SQE1 Resit Fees

Should you not pass either FLK1 or FLK2, you will incur a £899 fee to resit.

SQE2 Resit Fees

If you do not pass SQE2, you will be required to pay the full sum of £2,766 for a re-sit of the exam.

Please note that all fees are exempt from VAT.
